In pencil on recto "No 74 A ..." (twice). In pencil on verso: child's handwriting and scrawl. Military topographic map. Covers the townships of Raritan and Piscataway in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Shows roads running through Boundbrook, Newmarket (Quibbletown), Samptown and Avon Park.

In pencil on recto "No 74 A ..." (twice). In pencil on verso: child's handwriting and scrawl. Military topographic map. Covers the townships of Raritan and Piscataway in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Shows roads running through Boundbrook, Newmarket (Quibbletown), Samptown and Avon Park. Also shows buildings and owners' names, landforms and streams. Pen-and-ink, pencil on laid paper. Shows relief by hachures. Stained, soiled, creased, frayed and abraded. Mounted on cloth, bound and cropped, disbound and silked by subsequent owners. Cleaned after removal of backings 1999; some fill remains. Sheathed in mylar. Watermark: "T M W" accompanied by dove, similar to Gravell and Miller American watermarks nos. 658 and 659.
