Strong, New York, acknowledging receipt of a payment of the income of Strong's daughter Eloise's Lloyd Neck property and congratulating Strong on his son George's engagement to Ellen Ruggles; the address page bears a five cent Benjamin Franklin stamp, one of the first American postage stamps (along with the ten cent George Washington), first issued in 1847.
