Letter from George W. Strong, New York, to John Nelson Lloyd, Lloyd Neck, acknowledging receipt of a payment for wood and an accounting for the wood and pointing our an error against Lloyd which Strong insists be corrected noting Lloyd's service and self-denial in regards to Strong and his daughters, mentioning Lloyd's son-in-law's parents, Charles and Charlotte Higbee, and Charles Chauncey, Esq. of Burlington, N.J., and discussing his son-in-law Elias Hasket Derby's support of his mother and sisters, and Strong's visitations of schools as a commissioner of the city's schools, particularly the New York Institution for the Blind, with which he is greatly impressed.
