Order of the Court of Chancery, Robert Hunter, Governor, and Rip Van Dam, master of the court, in a lawsuit of William Lawrence against William Hallett, Jr., Samuel Moore, Sr., Joseph Hallett, James Jackson, and Samuel Moore, Jr. over a tract of land in western Queens called Van Harlem's lot; both parties having been previously enjoined from cutting timber or otherwise despoiling the property, the defendants accuse Lawrence of violating the injunction which his lawyers deny claiming that he worked an adjacent lot; the court orders surveyors Augustine Graham and [Pieter] Cortelyou to survey the land in question and to deliver their reports to the court.
