Point Lookout Album, Page 89. Dr. J.H. Thompson is likely Dr. James Henry Thompson, who started his Civil War career as a surgeon in the 12th Maine Volunteer Infantry Regiment and was assigned in 1864 to the Point Lookout prisoner of war camp in Maryland. A Dr. J. Harry Thompson is also cited as the Surgeon in Chief in the Report of Columbia Hospital for Women and Lying-In Asylum, 1873.
