Vaughan, dated Albany, October 20, 1777, concerning the British army's burning of Kingston, N.Y.; and a copy of the recommendation "to set apart Thursday, the 18th day of December next, for solemn thanksgiving and praise," dated "In Congress, Nov. 1, 1777.
