Includes Washington's letter to Congress- dated 19th Oct.- 1781- followed by the correspondence between Washington and Cornwallis- dated 17-18th Oct.- and "Articles of capitulation ... Done at York in Virginia- this 19th day of October- 1781. Cornwallis. Thomas Symonds. Published by order of Congress- Charles Thomson- sec."
