May 9, 1705 will of "Mill" John Townsend leaving his daughter Hannah a share of undivided land on Oak Neck, and a heifer to each of his brother Henry's four daughters, and naming his wife Esther, his cousin, John Townsend [either "Jericho" John or "Rhode Island" John], Nathaniel Coles, Jr., Samuel Dickinson, and Isaac Smith as executors and authorizing them to divide his estate among his children; Isaac Smith was granted letters of administration by the governor, Lord Cornbury, November 25, 1707.
