Copies of deeds and records relating to the Townsend family, records of the town of Jamaica, recto of leaf 5.
January 24, 1663 [i.e. 1664] deed from Henry Townsend, acting as executor of the estate of Richard Chasmore (sometimes recorded as Grassmore), giving Chasmore's property in Rustdorp (now Jamaica) to the town to be sold to establish a fund for the poor, to be distributed annually by two men selected by the town; further, as Chasmore had left his property to Townsend's wife and children, Townsend compensates them by giving them his property in Jamaica.
