7th Regiment designated 107th U. S. Infantry October 1, 1917.

7th Regiment called by the President for service in World War
July 15th;: 1927:

August 16th, 1917—In compliance with instructions from the
Commanding General, Eastern Department, the 7th Regi-
ment transferred 347 of its non-commissioned officers and
privates to the 69th Regiment N. Y. Infantry, (165th In-
fantry, U. S. A., Rainbow Division).

September 11th, 1917—7th Regiment Infantry, N. G. N. Y., left
New York for Camp Wadsworth, Spartanburg, S. C.

October 1, 1917—At Camp Wadsworth, S. C., pursuant to tele-
bgraphic instructions of War Department, orders from Head-
quarters 27th Division, 1600 enlisted men from Ist N. Y.
Infantry and 320 enlisted men from 12th N. Y. Infantry
were transferred to the 107th, to make it conform to the

new war strength.
